Here's a question: We all know how much of a pain its to drain the cooling
system (no drain valve, pull that little stubby heater hose off between the
pump and steel heater tube), at least on the A-2s. You also have to pull the
lower coolant hose, but its easy.
It it possible to get the same results by removing the thermostat housing
(after the lower hose is removed)? I plan on replacing my T-stat soon and
will give this a try. I would imagine I'll get a huge rush of coolant when I
do this!
