I'm sure it's really difficult to say what is the "best" oil or filter...
to really prove the point you should subject the same vehicles to the exact
same driving/weather/road conditions for hundreds of thousands of miles,
with no other variables other than the oil or the filter or the
whatever-is-being-evaluated. Virtually impossible to do, unless you're
running engines non-stop on a dyno etc.
If (say) 1 in 10,000 Fram filters failed thru excessive oil pressures, than
you have a pretty good chance of getting by without a failure
yourself. Until you rack up hundreds of thousands of miles, none of us
will know if the filter is good or bad.
Heck, for 225k, there should be no mechanical failures of any kind
(excepting maintenance items such as belts, maybe clutch, etc.)
