[Vwdiesel] Steam cleaning engine?

I pressure wash my 1.6NA.  We bought a $99 pressure washer when we were
painting the house and it works well on the engine bay.  Pressure wash when
it is cold.  I just make sure to cover with a plastic bag the alternator.

Every time I check the oil and it seems the bay is misty from some oil
blowby, I usually clean the engine with water and dishwashing detergent
applied with a big brush.  Then I just rinse with water.

I use the same method woth our other cars, just making sure to do it when its
cold and cover as musch of the elctronics.
