[Vwdiesel] Bublbles in fuel line?

Volks,
Today I was watching my engine run and noticed occasional bubbles in the
fuel line between thefilter and the injection pump. Is this normal? If not
how do I correct it?
Also my coolant overflow tank is empty , while my expansion tank maintains
the same amount what's the deal? should I refill my overflow and watch it?
should I do nothing?
