I went to start the car tonight, temp in low 50's. No good. I heard the re=
lay kick out, but no starting. Took a rag and doused it with wd-40 and plac=
ed it in front of the air inlet. Started, white smoke. I replaced the glow=
plugs with Bosch units less than a year ago. Did not replace the relay. Ha=
ven't pulled the plugs to test them yet. Since the first set of JC Whitney =
plugs blew out in less than 6-months, I now suspect the plugs may be freque=
ntly cycling on and off, leading to their short life. I would like some adv=
ice on what I should check for. I'm planning to replace all the plugs and t=
he relay to circumvent this problem in the future. I would also like to add=
a lit toggle switch which would indicate glow plug activity and have the a=
bility to control glow plug function with the toggle switch. Does anyone gh=
ave wiring, fuse and switch specs I would need to accomplish this? Thanks!
