[Vwdiesel] No power TDI

Did you try re-starting the engine?  This sounds very much like the sticking
wastegate (or EGR? I forget) solenoid, and most people find that the car
will behave normally on next startup.  This happened to me; I read a fault
code saying something about incorrect air pressure, and the problem never
resurfaced again.  See if this is the problem and we can take it from there.
