[Vwdiesel] Solenoid valve on turbo-line test *RESULTS*

Mike,
it sounds to me as if the amount of fuel delivered to the injection pump might
be turned down. As I understand it, the turbo will only be felt if more fuel is
delivered. So,the turbo could be functioning properly, as well as the aneroid,
but the fuel screw is turned down to the point where no extra power s gained by
the increase air volume.
Does your car smoke under partial or full throttle? If not, especially under
the second, i would try turning up the max fuel screw on the injection pump 1/8
turn at a time (very sensitive adjustment!).
One of my 1.6's has this aneroid on the pump. It is a non-turbo in a vanagon.
PO said it cam from a 91 jetta. Could this be a turbo block/head, or did the
na's come with this aneroid? It seems to be connected to some vaccum line or
something, not sure on that.
