You'll not have any more alternator load with 2 batteries vs. 1.  With dual batteries, each will be doing 1/2 the work (compared
to a single battery) so will need 1/2 the current to charge each one.  The alternator won't know the difference between 1 and 2
batteries.  I ran with both the stock 65A Toyota alternator and now a 160A unit and both worked fine.
