finaly got a bunch of work going on bertha.

i got the arbor press working and made up driver bushings in the right
sizes.
two peices of 3" channel work well to support the spider. C3x4.1 to be
exact.
notch one with a tumbnail about 3"long x3/4" wide on one flange. worked like
a charm.

when i pressed the first spindle out of the bearing, the outer race and seal
came with it!
no wonder it was howling like a dog in heat...

great now i am fsck'd i thought (fsck is linux chkdsk). then i remember
someone, i think it was harmon, who said something once about dremel'g a
notch and chisel the race until it cracks. whoever it was, THANK YOU!

one down, one to go.....and then on to tie rods ends...
