Ray Folda .--  You have my sympathy  --- you may as well get down 
on your knees and pray like hell.(do not forget the Nordic god Thor)
After praying get hold of the best  can of contact anti corrosion spray
you can get.   Unplug ALL  relays (on at a time) clean blades and spray
everything in sight.---Due to the Sourkrauts using IRON not all copper, a severe
reaction to moisture is normal.
Get a fuse-relay panel from a dry state like  Arizona or my old stand-by west
Texas. (Alamo will do).
Of all the jobs on the 1980 models this job is the most PIA. If rusty Iron was
not enough , add dried out plastic.(goes brittle)       Have fun .          Hagar.
