[Vwdiesel] stuck brakes?

Yes, I had a stuck (rusted) pressure plate on my 80 Rabbit.  The car sat
through a winter in the drive shed and in the spring the plate was
rusted.

I bruned it loose (along with about 1/4" of tire tread) by judicious
throttle application in 2nd with the car chained to a tractor.  Others who
have had this happen have recommended on/off throttle application in 3rd
gear on a straight stretch of road to break it loose - I'd probably try
this before "smoking" it off again... :)
