Did you actually put the car seat in? Or was this just an assumption on her
part?
Must be a pretty big car seat for it not to fit. I never had a problem
fitting a car seat in my previous MK3 1996 Golf. And it was a lot smaller
than the MK4 Jetta Wagon.

He's referring to the new Microbus. It's based on the Eurovan platform.
Imagine a Eurovan that looks like the air-cooled Type 2 bus of the 60's.

That is complete BS. The reason there is no Passat TDI right now is because
VW didn't think enough people would by a Passat TDI to justify importing
them over here. Especially with the under-powered 90hp motor.
The new Passat TDI will have the brand new 2.0 TDI Pump-Deuse producing
136hp/236ftlbs. The new Jetta, Golf, and New Beetle will get the 1.9 TDI
Pump-Deuse producing 100hp/177ftlbs. It will be interesting to see how
these new PD motors like our crappy high-sulphur, low cetane diesel.
