There is no substitute for knowing that your timing is right, and I don't think
yours, if it's at .98, is making it hard to hot start.
I doubt that the n/n ass'ys. in your injectors are the cause, but, if you pull them,
give them new shields and put them in right side up.
I'd look to air in the fuel lines. It is important to have a snug air-proof fit
with the little soft lines connecting the injectors with each other and the pump.
Look for air to and from the pump. If there is no air, the engine is timed, has
compression, and is hot, it ought to start.
Since you are needing to pull the advance knob, I suspect your timing isn't where it
ought to be.
