[Vwdiesel] any leads on engines?

Wow what a story, and, $5000 for it in 1988? That's a
deal. I bought my '85 Jetta TD in 1990 for $4650.
(56,000 miles and used a quart of oil in 750 miles!).
Almost same reason for selling: The owner was in the
military and was being transferred overseas.

About 5 months ago I bought another '85 Jetta TD, so I
have twins now. Its riddled with problems, so I've
been comtemplating making it a parts car. Perhaps I
will hold off since they are so rare. It needs some
body work too, and that I find difficult to deal with.
It does have a sun roof, though.
