[Vwdiesel] Yet another inane Vanagon question

So we're back playing with the Orphan ('82 Vanagon Westy w/ 1.5 Rabbit
motor). I believe that the crankcase breathers are correctly plumbed.
(Vacuum pump output to crankcase, v/c outlet to tee to intake manifold
two inlets.) While idling, it's pushing oil out the oil pan filler tube.
Twenty minutes idling makes a puddle about 9" in diameter. Rev the
motor and the dipstick pops up about 2" then drops back in about every
thirty seconds. Remove the filler cap and the oil level is about 2"
down while idling. Remove the v/c filler cap w/ no change in the oil
level.

It does have a little blow-by, but IMHO, nothing excessive. Unless *any*
is excessive. Open to suggestions or explanations.....

Jim
