[Vwdiesel] How 'bout pump leaks at the throttle lever?

Gary S,

That how I learned... by taking them apart.

For a NA pump, the only 'calibrations' there are are:
-Timing,
-Max fueling
-Idle and max speed
These are the common ones we all know and love,

and,

-Governor Bleed.
This locknut lookin' nut thing just above the input shaft, just below
the throttle plate/main body flange.

To be honest, I have no clue on how to go about adjusting this. Luckily,
there is no need to bother with this to get the top off. Though I did
remove this when I rebuilt mine and there are a couple of orings on this
shaft.

When I reassembled, since this locknut/shaft doohicky rides right up
against the pump mounting plate, I installed it so the shaft is flush
with the locknut. I didn't notice any change of operation.
