[Vwdiesel] 190 Benz questions

After all that long rambling in my other reply, I boiled it down to 
suggesting that you try to find information about fixing just one of the 
known problems on the car. That will give you a feel for the difficulty of 
performing work while you own it.

Pick a known problem and see if you can find a service manual for the 
model. See if the internet offers any references. See if libraries have any 
printed material. And, see what kind of help you get from whatever Benz 
dealership you would be able to contact locally.

I'd start with the climate control problem first, because it probably 
involves tracing electrical and vacuum circuits, testing them, and finding 
replacement parts and discovering the cost of fixing something on a Benz.

Use the experience as an indicator of the way ownership would go for that 
particular car, and _then_ decide if you want to swim in that pond.
