Dan Simoes designated this forum for older non TDI VW diesel  And he asked for a MODERATOR
to step forward many times.   We have what is called OT(off topic) at times . Now due to the tolerant
nature of most of us here -- up till now we had lots of   OT  but all of it connected to getting
engines and what not going better. The Aviators here have a lot of relevant information to share
and the AME's  should be asked to step forward.

I am not a mechanic and live in the sticks --- so this forum is very important to me.

We have no moderator so far , but the forum seems to be rolling along nicely. We discuss
airheads , diesels ----and lots of interesting things .   Nobody but Nobody knows more about
Lubrication Fuels and seating of rings and reliability on and on than the aviation people
so lets welcome them all.

I suggested to Dan Simoes to ask Loren to be moderator ---never heard what happened.
I volunteered to do it for a year if no one else would do it.  I am really not
qualified computer-wise.   I did have access to the list at one time , but not now.
A moderator with access is needed when some ones girlfriend gets really
nasty --demanding to be taken off the list.  I spent many hours trying to help some
of those dames.

Me ?  I am a no excuses fanatic DIY  and will die that way. Topic's ?  Diesels mainly
but we do delve in to hydraulics and Gensets all connected to VW diesels.

If Chrizzy in Tyler Tx and Hagar in BC can get along on this forum ?   WOW what's next?.

I am 72 tolerant and open minded ---not easily offended ----- hell look back and see
all the names I was called  -- eh ?  Mark Shepherd.

I love that Rabbit and I love this forum ---take that.

And make NO mistake -- the combined knowledge and experience here is  beyond my 
comprehension---- staggering say I.
