The heat must be either radiating from the exhaust or
conducting through the gasket [or both]...and this must surely be reducing
the potential benefits of cool intake air any research on insulating gaskets and
insulation between manifolds?
I think Jake's measurements were over 300F on the intake over 9psi or
something like that. That was at mid to low 50's F ambient. Somewhere
around those numbers anyway. That'd make for a HOT intake!

What about during normal driving say at about 2 or 3 psi; which is what
I got up to on the shopping trip? What we need is the ability to cool
for short bursts for overtaking; or a few minutes of hill climb How about
a water spray that came on under high loading/boost and sprayed onto the
intercooler say a pressure switch in the aneroid line?
