I'd guess they are. Dave Barbieri whom I was visiting when I met
you and Shalyn has one. Been trying to get hold of him and he'd
know since he just got done rebilding it.

NA 14X is for '86 through '90 and NA 15x is for '91 and '92 but the
nozzle is the same so I'd guess pressure might be different. My
manual only goes to '89 so nothing in print. :(

There's not much adjustment in the wastegate. KKK I presume? No
adjustment on the Garretts. There is/was a place here in WA that
specialized in hopping up turbo Audi gassers. They had some way
of changing the spring in the wastegate for more boost. Whole array
of different springs. You also have to raise the blowoff pressure on
the blowoff valve. It only adjusts a pound or two without a spacer.
Smaller turbo, quicker spoolup, lower maximum boost and higher
intake temps.
