[Vwdiesel] Leaky cam seal

Today I worked on the 1.6TD I'm putting into my vanagon.  After I changed the 
cam seal it got me thinking.  The cam seal is placed between the #1 cam cap 
and the head.  There is no mention in Bentley of sealing the edge of the cap 
between the cam seal and the valve cover gasket.  I'm sure it must be a very 
slight weeping leak on almost all engines.  It would almost always be thought to 
be the seal leaking.  Anyone ever seal the cap to head on either side of the 
seal?

P.S.  My e-mail program always formats each e-mail that I recieve to fit to 
page.  I have noticed some comments regarding making the lines shorter.  
Perhaps personal e-mail preferences can be changed for individuals having difficulty
