[Vwdiesel] Lifters

Man Nick the more I hear your problems the more I wish you would get your 
garage built so you can tear that engine down to figure out what is 
happening :) Your hydraulic engine is using lots of oil after a rebuild and 
now you believe the lifters have collapsed.  That is what I found with mine 
before I pulled it out and put the junkyard non hydraulic in that is 
running well. I gave up on mine for now and hope you figure yours out first 
so I can learn from you. I don't understand how mine ran with the bad 
lifters but it did. They only had 25k miles on them. The brand name is 
"INA". I put a set of good used original lifters in to see if it had 
anything to do with the oil consumption but they didn't help that??
