BLOCK:
Look at the engine code. It is located just below the water neck on the
side of the head.
CK: 1.5L NA(non-turbo) Mechanical-Lifters
CR: 1.6L NA Mech
MD: 1.6L TD(turbo-diesel) mech
CY: 1.6L TD Mech
ME: 1.6L NA Hydraulic-Lifters
MF: 1.6L TD Hyd
1V: 1.6L TD Hyd This is the infamous EcoDiesel.
HEAD:
068 103 373 B: 1.6L mech
068 103 373 N: 1.6L TD mech
There are more head casting numbers, but this is all I know from direct
experience.
This should get you started.
