Additionally, any vehicle will benefit greatly from a block heater, Gas or 
Diesel.  I would think a timer, as Loren suggested, on the end of the cord to 
turn it on 30 min. before leaving work would limit the electricity 
significantly.  Get a block heater for the whiner's vehicle so it is toasty warm 1/4 mile 
after they leave work, and offer to install it for free if they can manage to 
get a life.  If that doesn't work, offer to buy the small amount of 
electricity.  Calculate (watts X time).  The timer would pay off for sure.  I'm 
vicariously pissed off about that one.  Happy holidays, I mean Merry Christmas.
