Val,
I think you'd like the TD in the '91, although you may need to swap the trans - it
looks like you probably have an AWY, which is 3.941 final drive, but a shorter .894
5th gear. The 1.6 diesels used up to '90 appear to all have the .745 5th gear and the
same final drive. If you spend a lot of time near 75 mph, even the TD might be
noisy with the shorter 5th gear.
