do you see any marks on the axle at all? if you can
find any imperfections or even a little surface rust i
would take a bit of emery cloth or 200+ sandpaper to
it to smooth it out. clean off and spray with a little
wd40 or similiar to assemble.

seems as long as it's still a tight fit on the axle
then there's no need to replace it. (tho seems it's
TOO tight!) :)

if it was mine i'd just drive it. good luck!
