Yes Raymond Greeley and ALL : The greasegun is my favorite DIY for a lot of reasons.

This design goes way back a long time before I got Snared by Rabbits.

Tell me any town in north america where you can not find an old greasegun for
a couple of dollars ? that should nail it down.

Andrew in prikly land yes your idea of using a pump is excellent ---anything that
will produce hydraulic pressure up to about 3000 psi will do. Shit an old steering
power pump from a scrapper will do.
The list is endless.

The winner is the greasegun. BUT Chinese bottlejacks are cheap and will
do with a little DIY elbow grease.

If the gun is a bit worn use hydraulic oil rather than skinny fuel or lube oil.

Loren is going to say spray pattern ? EH LOREN ? ---and he is right you must
use driving fuel if that is what you want to test. With NEW nozzles that
test can be skipped. Drip test and pressure is the most important.

Use a T and a 5000 psi gauge -----pipefittings can be had at any plumbing store
or Canadian Tire or -ah if I have to tell you take it to a shop.

I mount the gun in a vice ------works as well as the commercial job. Takes very
little fuel or oil to test an injector. Work it out from stroke and diameter..

The barrel on the gun is good for testing what ? 20 injectors ?

Hagar.
