  To illustrate remember back to basic science where you stick a
copper nail and a zinc(?) nail in a lemon and generate voltage.

My mom has a clock powered by two strips of metal hanging in tapwater. One
is electrode is copper, one appears to be zinc.  I grew up in a house full
of neat stuff...
