[Vwdiesel] Crank Timing Gear Question- '84 1.6NA

I don't recall which year they changed, but the 1.6na came with two
different styles of cranks.

One used a regular type woodruff key, and had the corresponding belt
pulley to go with it.

The other style is like you mentioned, the notch is cut into the crank,
and the belt pullet has a (anti-notch?) built into it ( or is it
wise-versa?) But you get the idea.

The cranks are interchangeable, but the respective belt pulley must be
used with its specified crank.
