Oh, black, very black !!  Car goes like hell to.  I am just wondering why the sudden change  in fuelling.  I haven't touched the pump in a year.  I remove the cat and it like I have 4 more injectors and another turbo under the hood.  The car is a rocket now.  Maybe the cat was a bit plugged ?

  If your injector nozzles are old it can make the engine smoke considerably more.  Is it black or white.  White is unburned fuel or air in the line, black is too much fuel.  If black, adjust fueling.  If white, possibly adjust fueling, but check that there are no bubbles in line, check that no injector bodies are leaking, check timing and injector spray patterns first.
