OK----- Challenge to the pump gang ! ! 

What's the difference??

If there is ANY way to change the car pump to a speed governing pump, I need
to know, for the volksgen project

List VE pump web sites, is the constant speed one a VE or something else?
Does someone have a VE manual that describes the difference?

I,m going to try my local Bosch injection shop and see if they know, and if
they would convert one. The guys there are friendly and let me wander
through the shop. Also sold me a pump shaft seal at his cost.

There are many types of governors.   ----The VE on the BOSCH pumps    refers
to the fact that it is a one piston distributer pump .   It does not
have anything to do with what type of governor is inside.

For a Genset " Stand alone set"    you will need a speed governor.     The
Rabbits use a  Minimum ---Maximum type governor.-----    it is different.

Let us know what speed you want to regulate ?   1800   or 3600 .

I asked Valley Injection BC. Canada   if the could change a bunch of pumps for me .  
They said they tried but it could not be done.    But where there is a WILL ?   there is a way.

If I was not so derelict    I would have it figured out by now.

A  speed governor running the Rabbit pump would work.    It has to do with all those bias springs
and levers and what not. In there.
It is a very tricky PUMP that Bosch. VE.   

I am lucky I got lots of Governors here to play with ---- Annabelle has a proper
Industrial governor installed from day 1  -----1960 .     Isospedic.(UK stuff).
Great big handle on dash for setting the RPM.     I love it   ---it controls everything
Winch   Welder and    can be used as a Cruise control. .   I went
right across Canada using it.   Yup east coast to West coast. And talk about a WINCH?
Koenig Iron Works Texas.   Will lift that Landrover straight up in the air fully loaded.
