[Vwdiesel] propane fumigation

I am looking to put a propane fumigation system on my 1991 Jetta 1.6 TD.
This is like nitrous to a gasoline engine. I have observed the performance
increase benefits of stuffing a low flow propane hose into the air intake of
my 1.5NA diesel Rabbit engine on my genset. It sure doesn't take much to
perk that baby up and you can hear it rattle if you go too far. I've read
that something like 30-40% additional horsepressure gains can be had by
doing this to a turbo engine. I've also heard that it is easy to make the
engine go kaboom so a precise and automatic proportional metering system is
what I need to come up with. Has anyone here had experience in such
matters?

I was thinking of a propane regulator that determined flow demand based on
the boost signal in the manifold pressure the way the FI pump enrichment
system aneroid does. One could take a regulator and seal off the atmosphere
side of the regulator diphragm to an input tube coupling.
