As I understand it, SVO and WVO are no good cold. They need to be
heated to just under 200 degrees so that their viscosity approaches
that of No. 2 diesel. Otherwise it will coke up the injectors, to say
nothing of what could happen if it gets left in the injection pump. A
very good book, "From the Fryer to the Fuel Tank" discusses putting a
second tank with kerosene/wvo unheated. However, the section starts
with this disclaimer:

Vegetable oil kerosene fuel can clog in fuel lines, it can coke
engines, it is unstable, and we do not recommend its use on a long term
basis. Vegetable oil kerosene fuel is highly experimental. However,
vegetable oil kerosene fuel is quick and easy to make and does not
require complex chemical reactions. We drove our Diesel Volkswagon
Jetta, "Greasy Gretta," 5,000 miles (8,000 kilometers) on a mixture of
used vegetable oil and kerosene using the system described in this
chapter.

The book is 24.95 retail, probably much cheaper on Amazon's "Buy it
Used or New," and its got awesome information.
