[Vwdiesel] '93 EV coolant leak

(seriously, could it really be the head gasket ??)

I'm hoping there's something somewhere I forgot to tighten
but having a hard time tracking it down


  It COULD be but you'd about had to have damaged it major, not torqued 
things down or left something in between the head/gasket/block somewhere.
It just hit me that you have the 2.4 rather than the 2.0 5 cylinder.  Things 
might be different.  On the 2.0 it's usually the front (upper radiator?) hose 

where it mates with the head.  I think there's a temp sensor there too.  
Can't picture what's in the back other than a small heater hose...
