Well there is one factor that they (the North American automakers) didn't
think of and it is gonna come back and bite them in the ass! By using up
people's credit selling them gas guzzling junk there won't be many that can
borrow any more to buy the new breed of fuel efficient cars when they are
sprung on us, especially if their old gas sucking SUV has zero trade in or
resale value. GM is in trouble in part now because many new cars that get
sold on borrowed money are immediately repossessed because too many of us
have been borrowing to pay loans for too long. There is no actual value in
the system any more, it is all fake plastic money. It makes me laugh
because I'm too smart to get caught up in these stupid games designed by big
industry, the banks, and the government to manipulate the easily brainwashed
sheeple and steal the value of their hard work. It also makes me sad that as
a species with the ability, we don't do a lot better for ourselves, and the
life giving planet that supports us.
I see the crunch coming and this year I decided I couldn't put off getting
ready for it any longer. I have obtained several diesel engines this year,
the first tiime this has ever happened in my life. I also now have my very
first ever diesel powered car, a fuel efficient turbo diesel Jetta on the
road and have figured out a way to make it a hybrid that can run in dual
mode with the wind as one option providing the energy for local trips to the
grocery store should I chose to pursue this if used veggie oil isn't 'free
enough energy' for my micro thin pocketbook.
