[Vwdiesel] Torquing to 195 lb.ft. with 150 lb.ft torque wrench

To accomplish the task of tightening rear axle of my old beetle (to 
300-400 lb ft) I took a 12" open end wrench that fit the axle nut (may 
have to cut the wrench if it is more than 12" long) and welded an old 
1/2" drive socket to the other end of the wrench.  The actual torque 
being applied with this set-up is double what the torque wrench is 
reading.
