[Vwdiesel] TDI: Added larger injectors, reprogramming computer really necessary?

Thanks for the info. I called dad and explained the
situation. I told him that you said it wouldn't hurt
anything, but said I thought maybe it would affect
fuel mileage. He told me to go ahead and order the
VAG-COM software/hardware.

So, I'll hold onto the car for a few more days until
that stuff comes and then it'll be good to go! I'm
pretty excited about getting that soft/hardware! It
should come in handy later on, too.

Maybe I'll pull off the manifold while I'm waiting for
the stuff to come and clean it out. I wouldn't be
surprised if it is starting to get plugged.

What all needs to be pulled and cleaned when doing
that?

Thanks,

David

You won't "hurt" the car, but you won't have it as
clean as it could be. Eventually, that could lead to
earlier fouling of the intake manifold from EGT/CCV
deposits.
