I really could use
some help, these past three weeks have really taken a toll on me. Can I call
anyone?

I Hagar zes     you ore anyone may call me   any time 24/7  ------   BUT all the answers
can be found in   ARCHIVES .
Our Slipsprocket   Wizard is  Val Christian  --- IMHO.
Here is how I handled that problem----  :    The number of taper fits I have  been involved in
are in the myriads.   -----  They were all like the IP    piston and distributer.       They
are PAIRED  -----so  if you do not know for sure that   , the sprocket and shaft  came from VW
as a pair ?????  . -------They  MUST be checked.  ---Simple to do .
If they were NOT a PAIR   they must be lapped in again.       I use FINE   valve lapping compound
first  "Green Clover Leaf "    -----then Timesaver "Yellow"      ---use a good abrasive  toothpaste
or     Bon-Ami.
There must be contact right across the face of the taper.    Then after having tightned bolt
to 30 ft pounds  ---remove it and get your girlfriends  nailpolish and paint  shaft and sprocket.
WHY ?  ------after ten years or a hundred you will be able to tell if there EVER was a slip.
