[Vwdiesel] Poor heater output

That's exactly what it does when -20 and the heater starts to thaw the snow
from your boots. The visibility disappears when the air gets damp. Recirc
works well on AC when you are removing moisture from the air, but you really
just need the dry air from outside in winter here. You may have hearrd, it
is a dry cold.... lol...
My 97 golf TD will toast marshmallows. The 99 Jetta TDI seems to follow in
the same vein, but i haven't had it in winter cold cold yet. I really didn't
want to disassemble the car to find the blend door, but that's what it's
going to take I guess, as I'm selling the golf, and my girls will revolt if
the Passat doesn't heat better.

James' Passat should have a recirc button right next to the A/C button.
Dad's 97 does. Makes a difference in really hot or really cold weather!
A LOT of people run around in roughly freezing temps though with such a
button/switch engaged and are all fogged up all the time. ;-D You just
want to roll down the window and tell them to flip the ricirculate back to
fresh!
