[Vwdiesel] OT Block Heater Install

I like having the block heater on the diesel so much
that I've decided to install one on my Corrado.

Couple questions:  Is it safe to assume that the
heater can install in place of the same frost plug
that it is in on the diesel engine?  The Corrado has a
1.8 engine.

Also, what is the suggested method to remove the frost
plug?
