Yep, it's definitely the bearings. I pulled the boot off, and although it spins freely, it will
just grate against the housing before it stops, and it has far more wobble than it did
before. Blowby is minimal (new rings seem to have seated well), and no sign of oil on
the intake side, except for that coming from the seals of the turbo. I can get a rebuild
kit for $40US, but I'm considering switching to the smaller K14 from an early 1.9TD if
I can get one quickly. I guess I should have rebuilt this one when I had the chance :-(
