I can attest that a NA motor is very loud without a
muffler!
Last summer, I had a very steep driveway (from the
restaurant where I get my veggie oil!) knock off the
pipe going into my muffler.
It was very loud. It didn't take me long to get it
into a place to have a new pipe welded in!
