So, are they leaking at the clips or is it just running down from
the saturated hoses and that's where the drip drops from?
With saturated hoses you'll lose power from air bubbles getting
into the lines as well as risking major leaking happening
completely spontaneously at any moment. Usually when it's
least convenient. Last time I checked those hoses are still
available and pretty reasonable. (Different sizes on each end
as I recall.)
A friend's Rabbit did that with a return hose I'd warned him to
replace a short time before it did. Luckily we were working
together and I ran him down to get a new piece of hose. No
lmajor eaks to kablooey in a few seconds!
I'm not sure why you'd want to extend the hoses in place of
the steel lines. They're more prone to damage and deterioration
unless you live in the salt belt. Then there's always POR-15 too.
