[Vwdiesel] oil squirters

 I don't care for
the simple drilled hole due to concern about low rpm oiling of the rods.
The
stock squirters shut down, holes don't.

____
Yes, but you don't have to worry about that as much as you think. The rods
create their own oil pressure from the centripetal acceleration of the oil
in the crankshaft gallery forcing the oil down the throw and to the rod. All
the rod really needs is an oil supply.

The $160 is outrageous. Absurd even.
_____

Indeed.

Anyone know a decent source for the pre-reamed ones? Any tips on removal
and
installation?
____

They can't be pre-reamed. Pressing them into place makes them slightly
smaller (the hole can't get any bigger, so the bearing gets smaller from the
interference of the fit), so the inside needs to be reamed to the proper
dimension post-installation.
