[Vwdiesel] Stock head gasket on 1.6TD, 2 hole or 3 hole?

  For starting, not really but for running everything above design 
compression will cost mileage, performance (quickness) and 
acceleratation (lower fueling) due to fighting the higher CR.  The 
pistons are fighting against higher pressure to compress and 
the injectors are also fighting against a lower pressure differential 
to get the fuel out, in time, in a good pattern and at the correct 
volume.
  This is the reason I've toyed with the idea of dropping the CR of 
my Rabbit's engine when I eventually get to doing the head gasket.  
I figured on trying about 19:1 to see what happens.  Haven't been 
quite that ambitious yet though.  If it pays off but the starting 
suffers enough then I could just dump the glow plugs for cold 
weather and go with ether injection.
