[Vwdiesel] Old 1.6NA in New body?

Hi All,

I have a 1986 Golf in very bad shape but with a good 1.6NA motor and 5sp
tranny and have access to a 1996 Jetta gasser missing tranny.  How stupid
and or difficult would it be to put the old diesel and tranny into the newer
body?
