[Vwdiesel] starting problem(things I forgot to mention)

If you were me the first thing you'd do is check fuel starvation before 
taking the drastic steps of some of these [good] suggestions...   leave the 
engine overnight and then loosen all four fuel lines at the injectors. Then 
with someone watching from a safe distance (a few feet) ensure that pump is 
giving fuel to injectors from the start of cranking and not having to build 
up. Also check for a decent cranking flow rate returning from the pump back 
home to the tank...
