[Vwdiesel] MAF life

I have heard about using a gasser MAF and that it
would work. However, I have heard about some sort of
problem about it producing more smoke, or something
like that.

You can unplug the MAF and drive it with somewhat more
power than a dead MAF. With it unplugged, the
computer will go to preset values.

I have a friend who has been driving around for a
while while he saves to buy a MAF for his Jetta. (He
got a new job that only pays monthly and it took a
very long time before getting a check.)

Anyway, if you want more driveability until you get a
new one, just unplug it.
