[Vwdiesel] dash board

I was in the process of installing the dash in my Caddy TDI  
conversion when I realized that it is completely spit across the  
top.  Sooooo, I have access to a dash from a A1 Cabby.  Is this a  
direct swap or is there some kind of magic involved?  In particular,  
is the AC stuff under the dash so different that they have to be  
swapped also.  I really would like to get some quick feedback on this  
as I need to decide on Monday whether to go to the junkyard and pull
