[Vwdiesel] VW 1.6L diesel cylinder head date code interpretation

Can anyone decipher the date codes on the cylinder heads:

date code in 3 small circles:
 
vertically, top to bottom are, (8), (2), (22)
=====================
and

The rotary date marker, which has an arrow pointing at numbers at 9 o'clock and 
consists of three (3) concentric circles of numbers;
looks like a year code stamped on the outer circle, and three (3) roman numerals in the center,( I, II, III) 
placed at different  numbers around the inner circles.
